My name is Diklah and I am 15 years old. I was born in a little village in the west of Germany. This village has a way too long name so I won't bother you with it. But by second thought maybe you'll be one day really, really bored and you'll fly to Germany and visit in a little, quiet village which is named Kaiserslautern And then you'll be able to say "I know someone who lived here a long time ago", and that could be kind of cool. Anyway, when I was three years old we moved to Berlin, because my father got there a new job. I got two sisters. One is 22 years old, her name is Hadass, I can talk with her about everything and I guess I'm kind of lucky I got her. Although I'm not always showing it to her. My second sister is 12 years old, she's called Yaniv and she is the laziest person who's known by mankind, but I love her very much, After 7th Grade my family decided to make Aliya. So in the morning after Yom Kippur, after we packed up our home, we went on a plane which brought us straight to Israel. From the airport we took a cab to Jerusalem too our new home: absorption center for new immigrants - Beit Canada. Today we live in Jerusalem in a neighborhood which is called Armon Hanatziv. I go there to Bnei Akiva – a religious youth group – and in about a month I am becoming myself a counselor. My favorite quote is "These are my principals, if you don’t like them I have others." I think in this quote is more than just a joke, it means yes I do have my principals, my beliefs and you don't have to believe in them too, you just have to respect them. I believe that everyone has his own idea and opinion and he has too say it but in a way he won't hurt anybody else. Also I think that everyone has to take responsibility for his doings, and not to push them to someone else. I really like to hike, especially in Israel!
I don't really have a favorite book but my favorite author is Miki Sheinfeld. In my free time – which I don't have much of – I play violin and I volunteer at the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross first aid organization. There isn't much to say about myself, but I hope I could give you an idea!
